This bit of Christmas is free
The Adelaide Christmas Pageant is arguably one of the most popular events in Adelaide, bringing families from all around South Australia the excitement of Christmas.
After 80 years it is still hard to put a finger on what aspect of the xmas pageant is the most popular with children - the clowns with their over the top makeup, the spectacular floats, the music and pomp of the bands, or the visit to Santa in the Magic Cave afterwards. But we all know that Christmas in Adelaide would not be the same without Christmas Pageants, and we are fortunate that the Credit Union of South Australia has provided ongoing sponsorship.
This year the Festival Centre in Adelaide will be holding a special free exhibition called It's a Christmas Pageant Parade. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with the Credit Union Christmas Pageant, and will display costumes, props and floats - all the things that help to bring magic to the Adelaide Christmas Pageant.
The exhibition will run through December and January, so make sure you take up this chance to see the things that make in Christmas in Adelaide so special.
