Sheldon Cooper's, Fun with Flags, has nothing on the fun to be had at the Migration Museum this school holidays. Heralding the way for the Italian Festival 2017, to be held in Adelaide on the 4th and 5th November, the Migration Museum is conducting a flag making workshop to celebrate Adelaide's vivacious and colourful Italian heritage.

Traditionally, the Italian Festival of South Australia has celebrated (with passion) all things Italian since 1976, commencing with a grand parade of flags flown high.

You can drop into the free wokshop at the Migration Museum on any day between 10am to 5pm, from today until the 15th October to create your personalised flag.

Imagine your self in the Grand Parade, just like this one in the video below.

In the meantime, here are a few activities for you to do:

1/ Do you know the meanings of colours that you could use on your flag? Click to find out from Kids World Travel Guide .

2/ Do you know the correct protocol for honouring and flying our Australian flag? Click to find out from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.

3/ Try your hand at designing a digital flag before you go to the Migration Museum at this fun website: scholastic.com

Enjoy your holidays.**
