We are a multicultural society in Melbourne and that's a real plus because we get to partake in and experience a variety of cultural festivals and events Melbourne is renown for. Preston Market is holding such an event, celebrating all things Italian on Italian Day at 30A The Centreway, Preston on Sunday 28 August 2022 from 11am to 3pm. Entry is free and there's lots of free activities and entertainment to enjoy. There's food and beverages available to purchase from entities like Allora Gelato, Cannoleria, Les Crepes Gourmandes, Rustic Bean Café, Traditional Tasty Treats and more, with select traders offering specials. Kids will be entertained with face painting, balloon twisting, Venetian mask making and fun Italian themed crafts.
Entertainment-wise there's a jam-packed incredible lineup of Italian musicians like Tony Villela, No Limits band, Il duo Italiano and singer Tony Marchi and 'eccitante' performances by dance group School of Tarantella. Ex-MasterChef contestant Amir Manoly returns from a four-month holiday in Italy to share his Italian cooking skills at his cooking demonstrations. Free tastings will be available. See here for the complete Main Stage program, and timeframes for the kids activities that includes pizza cookie making.
