Now that the Olympics in Rio has been put to bed, if you're anything like me, I'm going to start suffering with withdrawal symptoms - what are we going to watch? Never fear, the answer is here - I have found the perfect 'fix' to overcome our sports addiction - IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships! And, it's all happening here on the Sunshine Coast, right here in Mooloolaba - literally, the 'world' is coming to us!

Why don't you join me from the 31 August - as a spectator not an entrant - to enjoy some of the world's toughest and most elite athletes in a gruelling physical and emotional race to the finish line.

Over 130,000 athletes participated in a season of qualifying races for the championship, a series which consists of over 85 events in locations such as Australia, Germany, South Africa and Switzerland.

The IRONMAN 70.3 event includes a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run.

Representing over seventy countries, participants in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will range in age from 18 to 75 plus - close to 3,000 athletes will be competing.
