The IronBark Hill Brewhouse is located in Hill Brewhouse/@-32.7091751,151.2566047,15z/data=!4m8!3m7!1s0x0:0x6d0aaad33163d4ca!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d-32.7091751!4d151.2566047 Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. It is a scenic location to taste a wide range of beers which are made on site, as well as enjoy wood-fired pizzas and delicious meals in their restaurant, the Brewhouse Kitchen. The brewery and restaurant is also located within a winery, Peter Drayton Wines , so you can visit their Cellar Door on the same visit. It is a property that has it all - a brewery, a restaurant, a winery, a function centre, a row of boutique accommodation and even a wedding chapel!

When you visit the Brewhouse Kitchen for lunch, it has 12 beers and ciders on tap and the menu offers a delicious range of gourmet pizzas, pasta, salads, wings and more. It is open 7 days a week for lunch and Friday nights for dinner - it is recommended that you book a table to avoid disappointment. On my family's recent visit we were lucky to find a free table, and the smell of the pizza oven cooking made our stomachs rumble in anticipation...

The IronBark Hill Brewhouse Kitchen is a popular, casual restaurant for couples, groups of friends and families. When you arrive at the restaurant you are given a friendly welcome, a few menus and directions to your table. You then order at the counter inside the building, where the beer tanks are brewing, and the meals are then delivered to your table.

The setting of the restaurant is scenic and relaxing. Vines cover the pergola above and provide filtered shade, grapevines are just a few steps away and the atmosphere is relaxed and calm. When our pizzas arrived, they were devoured in minutes - with the Double Smoked Ham & Fresh Pineapple for our daughter and the Shredded Duck, Hoisin Base, Coriander & Shallots for us. The duck and the hoisin sauce was a particularly tasty combination and we enjoyed our meal with a Hazy Shady of Pale - which was the perfect combo. If you love craft beers and gourmet pizzas, then you will enjoy this unique venue!

You could easily sit at this venue all afternoon and enjoy beer paddles or nibble on share plates, while catching up with friends. When we told the owner of our accommodation at Beltana Villas that we had enjoyed our lunch at IronBark Hill Brewhouse Kitchen, he said that it is also popular with the locals on Friday nights, for their weekly catch-up.

Even though the Hunter Valley is renowned for its wineries, more alcohol varieties are popping up, so that there is something for everyone to taste when they visit. Also check out Sydney Brewery Hunter Valley and 4 Pines at the Farm for beers, Small Mouth Vodka for liqueurs, vodkas and gin, Pokolbin Distillery for gins, as well as Pokolbin Cider House for ciders. The Hunter Valley is diversifying - why don't you take a drive and explore it this weekend?
