The Irish are coming, and they are bringing the music with them!

Ireland The Show will paint the town green on the Gold Coast (March 13) and in Brisbane (March 16) just days before the celebration of St Patrick's Day!

This exciting, full-throttle new Celtic production celebrates the very best of Irish heritage and culture and features a talented cast of world champion Irish dancers, musicians and singers.

The show kicks off (literally) with a whirlwind of energy, as the musicians create lively, inspiring tunes, pushing the dancers to new levels of artistic expression, and transporting old traditions from the Irish fireside to the international stage. It's the music that makes your skin tingle, and the dances that makes you want to join in.

The expressive language of dance ranges from a gliding shimmer of subtle soft shoe choreography, to pounding dramatic hard shoe steps. The execution of seemingly effortless high kicks is married perfectly with modern polish, Irish charm and dazzling Vegas-style Celtic costumes.

The show is produced by Brisbane born talent, Ethan Walker who currently has stage productions playing all over the world. Now based in Las Vegas, Ethan has gone from a Brisbane teen with a dream, to sleeping in the alleyways of Dublin, Ireland to world tours with renowned dancer, Michael Flatley's spectacular Irish dance show, Lord of the Dance. This is the first time that he will perform in front of his hometown audiences.

After randomly learning Irish dancing when he was 14, Ethan's talent shone and after just two years, he decided to join a show. "I had a pen pal in Ireland, and kind of forged a contract from this made-up dance company, posted it to her in Ireland, and asked her to send it back to my address in Australia," he said. "So when it arrived, my mum, being nosy, sees this contract that has arrived from Ireland, and opens it."

After much cajoling his parents lent him the money to fly to Dublin for the "job", still totally unaware that the dance contract was a ruse. "I arrived in Ireland, and had nowhere to stay, no job. I had told my parents accommodation was being provided. I think the hardest part was living in an alleyway with my suitcase, just huddled up for a couple of nights." Ethan laughs. "I would go to a pay phone, call my mother, and act like, 'oh, it's great, rehearsals are going fantastically,' then go back to my alleyway."

"Luckily, there was a show in Killarney (population 13,000), that I tried to get into. They gave me an audition, and I got the job."

From here Ethan made his way to Dublin, to audition for legendary Irish-American step dancer/choreographer/producer Michael Flatley, who promptly hired the then 17-year-old for his newest dance extravaganza, "Celtic Tiger". He then spent two years traveling the world, dancing in both of Flatley's hit shows, Lord of the Dance and Celtic Tiger.

Ethan went on to conceive Ireland The Show, which has since toured the US, receives standing ovations at every performance and has an Irish Music Award Nomination. Last year Walker launched his first ever Las Vegas production, Piano Man at the V Theatre, Planet Hollywood and he will open Alice in Wonderland in New York this coming July.
