Register yourself as a Superhero, and head to the Tan Track, Royal Botanical Gardens on 29 March 2015, for the opportunity to gallivant as your alter-super-ego, at the same time raise money and awareness for Autism.
Irabina Autism Services is the largest specific autism centre in Victoria, providing services to children and their families for over 45 years. Irabina currently supports over 250 children aged 0-18 years, each week, by providing a number of services such as evidence based autism specific programs, training and consultation with schools and community groups.
Running the Tan Track's 4km / 8km distance in costume will make YOU a Superhero for Autism. Your $49 registration raises money for training and support services provided by Irabina, which in turn assists children with Autism and their carers.
As a Super Fundraiser, you can also collect sponsorship to dress as your favourite superhero at your school, workplace or community group, for just one day in April.
Another way to test your Superhero powers even further is to nominate your CEO, senior manager or School Principal to become a Superhero for Autism on 2 April 2015.
The Super Challenges link can be found on Irabina Superhero, using Everydayheroes as a platform to collect fundraising money; a secure site with lots of great features to share your profile through the world of social media.
If you can support the cause or know any businesses, friends or family who would like to get involved, do spread the word so that others can raise awareness for Autism and have a fun time doing so.
