History comes alive
Now that the school holidays are upon us, why not plan a day out on Saturday the 26th of September in Ipswich where a whole day's worth of activities are being planned in the Workshop Rail Museum and grounds, which I think will be of interest to every family member from grandpa, who might remember parts of the history, to parents who want to know more, to children curious about how things work.

What is on offer is a pass to the Museum and the new exhibition of Railways 1914-1918.

For one day only the Museum grounds will be transformed to offer real experiences into blacksmithing, and flyovers, with re enactments of war time life and times.

What you'll see on the day:

9.30am Camp activity
9.45am Troops march to Cenotaph
10am Flag raising
10.30am Biplanes flyover
11.30am Cannon Salute
12pm Amberley Brass Band
1pm Mayor's farewell to troops
2pm Troublemaker skit
2.30pm Trojan flyover
3pm Cannon salute and lower flag

There will be activities specially for the children including dress ups, craft making and interactions in the Nippers Railway.

Family tickets $63 for two adults and up to four children.
$21 for adults, $18 Concessions.
