The University of Adelaide's Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) invites you to their FREE Research Open Day on Thursday 6 September 2018.
This is an exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes at IPAS and discover their latest research, join a fascinating tour of the labs and enjoy a FREE BBQ lunch. All are welcome.
IPAS use the power of light to make the world a healthier, wealthier and better place and the Research Open Day will commence with an Introduction to IPAS public lecture.
Held in the Braggs Lecture Theatre from 11am, hear all about the exciting research being conducted by IPAS in areas ranging from advanced gravitational-wave detection through to creating next-generation medical devices and Defence technologies.
Following the enlightening public lecture, guests will be treated to a delicious FREE BBQ Lunch in Braggs Foyer. Held from 12.30pm, this will also be the perfect opportunity for prospective students to find out more about summer scholarships, honours or PhD projects.
Experts across Physics, Engineering, Chemistry and Biology will be on hand to discuss their exciting work and answer any questions you may have.
The Open Day concludes with a tour of IPAS Labs from 1pm. Go behind closed doors and get close up to IPAS' state-of-the-art equipment and explore the latest experiments and developments.
