Should you buy an iPad 2?

That is the question on so many lips, typed on so many keyboards. If you are reading this, you are one of two people: You've ordered the iPad 2 and are waiting for it's arrival, reading every article possible about the Apple phenomenon or a decision on buying the tablet has not been made. If you're in the second category, a choice will be made in minutes.

First of all is the money situation. Buying an iPad 2 is an expensive venture, as the 64 GB model is necessary to enjoy the product at its full potential. $788.00 later, you still need to buy the smart cover, which is a further $45.00. Both items are worth every dollar, and once that is justified, everything else lies in what can be achieved by the slim, comfortable and powerful device.

There is an app for everyone, a use for every profession. A budding director can use imovie ($5.99) which creates seamless film that looks and sounds terrific. Musicians are even more in luck with garage band ($5.99) as entire songs can be composed and distributed with ease, while DJ's can use the iPad 2 for a turntable, linking astonishing beats. Journalists have access to thousands of newspapers across the world, photographers can chop and change with PhotoForge2 ($2.49) until perfection has been achieved, and hardcore gamers have apps such as Infinity Blade ($5.99) and Real Racing 2 HD ($12.99), which rival the experience of console gaming.

If applications weren't already enough, the simpler uses will have most laptops gathering dust. Emails can be accessed with speed and precision, the web can be surfed until your heart's content, banking and social networking has never been easier, and music and movies are stored and enjoyed wherever you go, with no connections necessary.

The new iPad destroys it's predecessor in every way imaginable, so there is no point settling for the old model just because a sales person advises so, and warns of a wait. With an upgraded graphics card, a more powerful system and the slimness of an Iphone, the iPad 2 is the best tablet available, with more ways of satisfaction being present in the app store every day. If you are deciding whether to take the plunge, the choice has already been made.
