Singles, couples and groups welcome

When we are brave and push ourselves outside of our comfort zone we create treasured life experiences that we remember forever.

Did you know that you can learn the fundamentals of Argentine Tango from world title holders Jose Luis Cameán and May Carreras right here in Brisbane?

Adored by their students, Jose and May are wonderful and funny teachers. They work for a local school called Dance Culture, which is well-known for its excellent introductory courses for Latin dancing styles including Salsa, Bachata and Argentine Tango.

Your instructors Jose and May have a great sense of humour!

One such course for Tango is starting soon and will be held Thursday evenings from 7pm 'til 8pm in an air-conditioned venue in Wooloowin in Brisbane.

The courses consist of six hours of instruction in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Students are not required to have a partner to participate (both singles and couples attend) and absolutely no dance experience is necessary (you just need to be able to walk in a straight line!) Novice students needn't be anxious about stepping into a dance class for the first time, either, as the Dance Culture team of instructors and existing students are warm, approachable and encouraging. All ages attend!

The venue is air-conditioned, close to public transport and has ample parking available. The course is very affordable considering the quality of instruction.

Dance Culture has an impressive list of reviews on Facebook and on Google that show just how much their students love the school. One recent Facebook reviewer wrote: "As someone with two left feet and no rhythm, I have really enjoyed the classes at Dance Culture. Fantastic instructors, a great group of people and a lot of fun. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn Latin dancing, no matter your skill level."

Dance Culture boss James Quinn-Hawtin says of the course, "I've done everything I can to remove all barriers to trying Latin dancing and, in this case, Tango in particular. Life is about experiences. I really encourage everyone reading the article to do what I once did and take that first scary step to try something new. You might find that it opens up a whole new world of experiences and opportunities. It did for me."
