On Sunday 5th of July, 2015, James Quinn-Hawtin Dance Academy, in partnership with Melbourne's Airtime Dance Academy, is presenting a series of innovative introductory acrobatic classes for kids and adults.The classes will be held at RAW Dance Studio in Moorooka and hosted by special guest coach Trinh Pham.
Choose from 3 three-hour workshops - each suiting a different age group:10:30pm - 1:30pm Primary school aged2:00pm - 5:00pm Secondary school aged5:30pm - 8:30pm Adults (18 and over).Under Trinh's guidance participants will literally 'spread their wings' and learn spectacular acrobatic tricks for beginners!
In a fun, safe and encouraging you'll:Enjoy fun experiences while socialising with other fun loving peopleBuild confidence in a safe, positive, non-judgmental and non-competitive spaceBe supported along each skill set in a safe manner while building on their strengths and interestsEnhance your physical development, physical and mental strengthExperience new ways to develop your balance, fitness and strengthDevelop your spatial and aerial awareness.Learn how to spot, assist and support others in various stunts.
Each participant will receive a certificate of participation and photos to remember their extraordinary experience.This series of classes can be attended by all; there is no minimum fitness level required as spotters and the trainer will assist in execution of skills if needed. However, please note if you already have a pre-existing injury, it may be aggravated by acrobatic stunting.
Participants can view a Stretching and Body conditioning video here to help build core strength prior to attending.All participants are encouraged to wear tight fitting and stretchy clothing, bring water bottles to keep rehydrated and some food. Pizza will be served on the day also.
In addition to being an acrobatics coach, Trinh is a qualified early learning teacher.
