You are invited to participate in the upcoming International Zouk Flash Mob event on Sunday 21st September, 2014.

This popular annual event represents a global celebration of Zouk, a Brazilian dance style that is suitable for all ages.

Last year approximately 3500 people worldwide performed, on the same day, a choreographed Zouk routine that they had learned and practised. With 100 dancers, Brisbane was the largest group and this year the organiser, James Quinn-Hawtin, anticipates it to be even bigger and better.

There will be eight 2-hour training and practice sessions in total, starting Sunday 3rd August.

Participants can join in as singles or couples and do not need any previous dance experience. All ages are welcome.

The venue and time for the main event on Sunday 21st September, 2014 is yet to be revealed but will most likely be at 12:30pm in an inner city location accessible via car and public transport.

"It is what it sounds like, a mob of people getting together, letting their hair down, performing and disappearing in a flash." - Helen Brennan

"It is a ridiculous amount of fun. The performance is a rush and everyone is on a high for the rest of the day. Throughout the training and performance, everyone is warm and welcoming. It's an opportunity to be a part of something that is meaningful on a global scale." - James Quinn-Hawtin, Brisbane organiser
