Event:
See, taste & partake in rich & diverse Scottish traditions

International Tartan Day festivities return to King George Square on Saturday 21st of July 2018!

This family-friendly event is proudly hosted by the Australian Scottish Community and supported by the Brisbane City Council. This year's event marks the 22nd annual celebration!

A popular vibrant cultural event, International Tartan Day showcases all things Scottish in the heart of Brisbane City.

Come along from 9am and see, taste and partake in the rich and diverse Scottish culture and its historic traditions, including Haggis.

Eventgoers will be entertained with a great line-up of live music all-day, including 5 pipe bands throughout the day, including the spectacular massed band which will enter the Square at 12.30pm & also at 2pm, marching through the crowd. There will also be the Celtic Choir, the Small Pipes and the Fiddle Orchestra, Highland Dancing and Scottish Country Dancing.

Adding to the lively atmosphere will be 'Scotty Dogs' and bustling stalls offering Scottish wares and informative displays by a number of Clans and Genealogy/Family History Groups and Celtic information and displays.

The full-line of events will be unveiled closer to the event date - but head to www.facebook.com/AustralianScottishCommunity for all latest!
