The tartan has a history dating back to the 3rd and 4th Century AD. Three million Australians are either Scottish or of Scottish descent. Brisbane itself is steeped in Scottish history with many of its suburbs having links to Scotland. Kelvin Grove, for example, was named after Kelvin Grove Park in Glasgow and Gordon Park, was named after Gordon in the Scottish Highlands.
