The Pirates of Port Adelaide will invade the Port Adelaide Town Centre over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of September to celebrate 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day'.
Observed since 1995 in the UK and USA, this annual event is all about the joys of speaking 'pirate', from an 'Ahoy' to a 'Scallywag' and a 'Yo Ho Ho', it's a day to indulge in fun and festive piratey shenanigans.
This year, you and your fellow 'buccaneers' are invited to enjoy the annual 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day' festivities at Port Adelaide Town Centre.
The businesses of Port Adelaide are pulling out all stops to make this a fabulous family weekend; highlights include:
For the adults there's a Pirate Scoundrels 'after-dark' Treasure Hunt on Saturday night – for this you'll need a smart phone and an eye patch!
Come along to the historic port on the weekend of 19th and 20th of September and be a part of the 'invasion'. There'll be good pirates, scary pirates, happy pirates, little pirates and even big scoundrels, plus dog pirates, parrots, dolphins and mermaids!
So don't walk the plank! Instead 'batten down the hatches' and set sail for Port Adelaide!
