To saunter is to wander slowly.
Perhaps you prefer to meander or ramble. Regardless, on June 19th you can choose your go-slow mode of choice because it is World Sauntering Day.
Really.
World Sauntering Day started in the 1970s as a response to the growing popularity of jogging. Saunterers prefer to go slow, to smell the roses rather than the sweat pants. I like this line of reasoning.
So perhaps on World Sauntering Day you might like to grab your dog or a good friend, and take it slow. Saunter through the office and tip your hat to people. Saunter around uni. Saunter the streets.
Make a
YouTube video of yourself sauntering like this lad has done. Twitter about sauntering
#saunteringday .
Enjoy your happy slow walk, and don't forget to smell the roses.
