Pilgrim Uniting Church is proudly presenting an organ recital event with internationally acclaimed organist Dong-ill Shin, who has been hailed as 'one of the world's most promising talents of his generation' (Echo Republicain, France).

The recipient of the 20th Grand Prix de Chartres in 2006, Dong-ill Shin made his concert debut at the age of 11, performing a Mozart Piano Concerto with the Pusan Philharmonic Orchestra, Korea.

He completed his organ studies in Korea, France and the USA, and has studied with Olivier Latry at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, as well as privately with Marie-Claire Alain.

Dong-ill Shin has performed concerts in Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia and is a prize-winner in numerous international organ competitions.

This upcoming recital will have a decidedly French flavour, with works by Gigout, Alain, Franck, Saint-Saëns and Widor, as well as J.S. Bach's F major Toccata and Fugue.

The recital will be held on Tuesday 27th of October, 2015 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are priced $25 at the door.
