Autumn springs into action with this fantastic line-up of free events around Perth this month.

March 1 to 18
Cottesloe Sculpture by the Sea
Sculpture by the Sea, now in its 15th year, is set to dazzle art and beach lovers alike with its annual exhibition. Staged on the sand, grass and sometimes even the sea, the sculptures are always a great conversation starter and because of its stunning location, one of the most popular events of the year.

Music In The Park Concert 2

A perfect way to end the day with live music, free children's activities and yummy food from local food trucks. Bring the family and a picnic blanket and enjoy a range of music from different genres. Activities from 5pm, the concert starts at 6pm.

Point Walter Fair

One of Melville City's top events attracting thousands of people, the Point Walter Festival is a night of live music, entertainment, children's activities all topped off with a spectacular fireworks finale. There will be lots to do including food stalls, pop-up stalls, face painting, and a bouncy castle. You can also bring your bathers and have a swim in the river.

Hyde Park Community Fair

The Hyde Park Community Fair is huge and fabulous. Not only is it set in one of Perth's most historic parks, but there is literally something for everyone with a line-up that includes live entertainment, market stalls and arts, rides and kids activities, a car show, demonstration sessions, wine, beer and cider tastings, food vans and plenty more. Held over two big days of the long weekend.

Perth Japan Festival

The Perth Japan Festival is a vibrant celebration of all things Japanese, with lots of fun for kids and adults alike. Learn about unique cultural traditions, try delicious foods, watch exciting performances and browse the range of interesting stalls and displays.

Coogee LIVE

Coogee Live brings the coast to life, with a special event that takes place on 1km of beach between Ngarkal Beach at Port Coogee and Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club. This self-guided trail is made up of a number of events, including the Coogee Maritime Trail and historic Omeo wreck, plus parks and playgrounds, the beach and jetty. There will also be music, light shows, fun interactive zones, markets, demonstrations and much more.

Free for all, Splashfest is a great way to stay cool and have fun with a great range of water rides and games taking over Swanbourne Reserve. There will be slides and rides, games and stalls, a chillout marquee, local music and entertainment plus more.

Held at Curtin Stadium, Astrofest is Perth's biggest celebration of science and the stars. There will a fascinating range of indoor and outdoor activities including plenty of telescopes to try out, or bring your own and get some expert advice. Bring a picnic and make a night of it.

Rotary Carine Community Fair

Supporting lots of local charities, the fabulous Rotary Carine Community Fair has a huge day of fun for everyone. There will more than 100 stalls plus a sideshow alley with rides, games and showbags, free live entertainment will be taking place all day, plus plenty of food vans and snacks and treats.

Paws in the Park

Get your best collar and lead, it's time for Paws in the Park, for Perth pooches and their pet humans. There will be market stalls, entertainment, free activities, food trucks, lucky dips and competitions and even a Best Dressed Dog parade.

St Mark's Community Fete

The St Mark's Fete takes place every two years and is a fantastic, traditional school fete with all the fun, games, stalls and food and sense of community you would expect.

Colours of Italy Festival

Celebrate the culture, history and heritage of Italy at this family-friendly festival set in the beautiful Stirling Civic Gardens. There will be a variety of kids entertainment such as face painting, giant yard games, bocce, bubble soccer and more plus incredible Italian food stalls and demonstrations. Enjoy live entertainment such as roving accordion players, opera, theatre and dance plus a range of displays including luxury Italian cars and Italian artisan market stalls.
