Jump on your (motor)bike and ride the Yarra Ranges

If you are a keen motorcyclist, you have probably ridden through the Yarra Ranges' towering forests of messmate, mountain ash, and ancient ferns. The roads curving up and down the mountains are catnip to motorcycle riders, but unfortunately there are still far too many weekend warriors coming to grief on the narrow, winding roads.

The Yarra Ranges is taking a proactive approach, and has introduced special guided motorcycle rides around the area, to help visiting riders familiarise themselves with the special challenges of riding these spectacular roads.

It's hard to keep your eyes on the road...but there's not much room for error

On Sunday 10 February, the Yarra Ranges Council and HART (Honda Australia Rider Training) are running a full day instructed ride from Lilydale to Launching Place, Healesville, Toolangi, Yarra Glen then back to Lilydale at the end of the day.

At the end of the day, participants will also get an exclusive after-hours viewing of the RIDE exhibition at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum in Lilydale.
