EcoXpo returns to Sydney this November with even more sustainable and eco-friendly living offers from companies and organisations in Australia that are truly sustainable, environmentally aware and use natural and organic ingredients in their products.
What started in 2010 as an event focused on the natural and organic baby market, 'Eco Baby Expo' expanded to include all aspects of sustainable living: organic food and wines, natural beauty, gardening and permaculture, home improvement, renewable energy, clothing, health and environmental protection in 6 months. The early days were difficult but through continuous hard work and hard work, EcoXpo has grown to be the pinnacle event of sustainable living in Sydney.
This FREE community event is the brainchild of Aymeric Maudous, a former brand marketing with Renault, Disney and Louis Vuitton with a passion for eco living. Armed with a Masters in Environmental Management, he began his eco journey through sustainable landscape design including rainwater tanks, trees and veggie patches. The positive results from his customers fired his passion. Through EcoXpo, Aymeric hopes to inspire more people to share his vision of natural living.
Lionel: What was the inspiration behind starting EcoXpo?
Aymeric: I grew up in Bordeaux, France and spent time on my grandfather's organic farm. I enjoyed picking the luscious fruits and vegetables in his farm, and growing a tiny plot on my own. I remember him explaining the connection of everything on this Earth from the cows and chickens and land to the nearby forest and the rainwater he collected. The organic way of doing things is not reserved to an elite, especially when it comes to children. I want to inspire people to connect more with their natural environment by reducing their eco-fingerprints and promoting truly sustainable businesses. What better way to share my credo than through the EcoXpo? This project now encapsulates a philosophy of Wellbeing for all, where our thinking and actions create more ecologically viable communities, both locally and globally.

Lionel: What's different between EcoXpo and other similar fairs?
Aymeric: Consumers are more aware than ever that they need to do something to protect our environment while maintaining their quality of life so EcoXpo applies a rigorous screening process for exhibitors to ensure consumers receive value offered by various sustainable and eco friendly companies. EcoXpo is fully committed to promoting companies that are truly sustainable, environmentally aware, use natural or certified organic ingredients in their products from eco baby products to solar panels, from health and beauty to hybrid cars. We aim to develop and maintain trust and transparency for our visitors and exhibitors alike given our shared values of sustainable living.
Lionel: What's new and exciting at this year's event?
Aymeric: We have completely changed our model after carefully listening to our visitors and exhibitors feedback. So this year we are a FREE event to attend. We also have 2 movie nights. On Friday evening we will screen Sean Penn's latest documentary 'The Human Experiment' which is about the effects of chemicals onto our body. On Saturday evening its 'Divide in Concord' about bottled plastic water. We are also holding the show outdoors in Sydney's most sustainable outdoor park, Prince Alfred Park.
Lionel: What can the eco-friendly consumer look forward to in this year's show?
Aymeric: We have 30% more eco exhibitors than last year. There are over 100 eco certified exhibitors showcasing organic, vegan and raw Foods, organic beauty products, eco clothes, renewable energy solutions for the home, gardening and growing your own food supplies, natural reusable food wraps, organic pet food, eco toys for the little ones, environmental protection, live entertainment and educational talks on the main stage, an eco bar with organic beers, wines, champagne, made-to-order cocktails, and of course our 2 movie nights starting Friday evening. For everyone else, there will definitely be inspiration that going green doesn't cost the earth, doesn't limit your lifestyle and can be fun at the same time.
Lionel. What are your personal favourites at EcoXpo?
