Head down this November to the lovely Moreton Bay at Manly Harbour Village to the 2013 artshow INSIDE OUT from 1-3 November.



Manly State School is hosting a group art exhibition with a mix of work from students and established artists and crafts people from this inspiring Bayside area.

The theme for the 2013 exhibtion is INSIDE OUT and as the names suggests it explores the relationships between things and objects that are inside and outside. These connections are everywhere and range from the simple to the complex. The exhibition looks at all things that surround us in life from the emotional and personal, to the environmental or spiritual.

The artists will use a mix of artistic methods including painting, drawing and sculpture. The exhibition has various workshops helping visitors to participate and examine these themes and relationships using a variety of art materials and skills.

The exhibition kicks off with the Opening Night on Friday 1st November, at 7:00pm at Manly State Primary School with local guest artist Trevor Platt . Visitors can meet the artists, find out about the workshops and view the works for sale with music provided by the students. Light refreshments are availabe.

Tickets for the opening night are $10 per person.

The exhibition opens Saturday 2 November at 10am until 3pm with a community BBQ from 12noon and various workshops. The event continues on Sunday 3rd from 9am – 12noon and admission is free.

The workshops take place on 2 November from 10.30am & 1.30pm and last for 45minutes.Bookings are essential and the cost is $5 per person.

Manly State School is located at 63 Ernest Street in Manly and just 30 minutes from the city by car and is located across from the Manly Train Station.

Take time out before or after the show to visit Manly Harbour Village and enjoy a meal, coffee or a stroll at this beautiful part of Moreton Bay. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes to choose from including the Fish Cafe and Keiths on Cambridge which both overlook Manly Harbour. The village itself has its own Art Gallery with only Queensland wares on display and for sale at the Manly Gallery at 11 Cambridge Parade.
