Pixar really can do no wrong. Sure, Cars was a bit of a 'sell out' move and Brave wasn't their best feature but these guys are generally miles above the rest and with Inside Out, they remind us why.

Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation) stars as Joy, the thing responsible for all the positive emotions inside young girl Riley. Every day she works tirelessly alongside other emotions, Fear, Anger, Sadness and Disgust to help form wonderful long-term memories and help Riley lead a happy and carefree life. Following an unwanted family, however, the team is thrown into peril as Riley becomes unable to have happy feelings, leaving Joy forced to team up with Sadness in order to save Riley from the possibility of never being happy again.

As always the animation is phenomenal and voice cast is perfect down to a tee. The film is hilarious and heart warming so much so that the lone gentlemen next to me in the theatre actually openly sobbed during the more emotionally heart wrenching moments.

Strongly recommend seeing it in the cinema, but don't be suckered into paying for the 3D.

4 Stars.
