Having recently taken a trip to Morocco, I was itching to find a place that possessed a high level of authenticity to its colourful cuisine, a hospitable attitude, and a welcoming ambience for anyone and everyone.
Cue in Stepney's very own -
Inside Morocco.
The space of
Inside Morocco is quite versatile - offering options to hold events, make a purchase for the home, or simply dine and wine to your heart's content.
Owned and run by couple Med Ghanmi and Janet,
Inside Morocco is open for breakfast and lunch and its location among the many antique stores that make Magill Road an attractive spot for friends, families, and/or couples to congregate together for a lovely time.

Whenever you choose to visit, make sure you have a sip of their delectable Rio coffee, freshly squeezed juices, or the traditional mint tea that is not only refreshing but will also serve up a real treat for your tastebuds! You also won't want to miss the ritual of pouring the tea from the pot into the glass, which is done with a certain penchant.
While the mint tea is a must-try, it may be a tad too sweet, so there are lots of options of tea (over 15 kinds!) available.

Whether you're new to the Moroccan cuisine or are a big time lover of it, you'll be well aware (and ecstatic) at the Tajine that makes an appearance on their menu.
Served with flatbread, the tajine of the day (no matter what it is) will be a dish that you can either enjoy solo or with a group of friends. The titillating combination of spices in this dish (and their other dishes) will make you feel like you're in a Moroccan household almost instantaneously. Upon trying the tajine of the day on my recent visit, we were graced with tender lamb that melted off the bone beautifully and tasted divine with the flatbread and couscous.

While
Inside Morocco aims to provide authentic meals, they also specialise in catering to the Western crowd, by having soft, warm croissants, gorgeous French crepes, as well as eggs with mushrooms, tomatoes, and greens on the side. We tried the crepes, which were stuffed with apple and strawberry compote, and served with a side of almond butter bark and vanilla loubna. Lots of sweetness, lots of flavour, lots of happy munches!
