Located next to its sister restaurant, Cannoli Box Co , Ino Paninoteca specialises in Italian cuisine with a focus on panini sandwiches.

The ciabatta used for their Fresh Ciabatta range was light and fluffy and big enough to make it a satisfying meal for one. The strips of chicken schnitzel in the Chicken Cotoletta Ciabatta had succulent flesh set off nicely by the crumb coating. Peppers added a hint of sweetness and the cos lettuce was crisp and fresh. We were able to have the provolone cheese omitted. Enough mayonnaise was used to ensure the sandwich was not dry.

Offered as a special during our visit, the meatballs in the Nonnas Meatball Toasted Focaccia were moist and of a generous size. The tomato sugo sauce complemented it nicely and extra flavour was provided by basil. Rocket leaves added a peppery flavour and the Parmesan cheese did not taste too strong. Compared to the ciabatta, the focaccia had a firmer texture while still retaining some lightness.

Their pizza range consists of various toppings on a focaccia base. The eggplant and mushrooms in the Vegetable Pizza retained their texture and there was a generous amount of rocket leaves. Olives added a salty taste which was balanced by the chunks of capsicum. Completing the dish were chunks of mozzarella and a sprinkling of dried chilli for a hint of heat. If you desire the pizzas can be requested to be heated up.

Their Zeppole was crisp and light and cooked sufficiently to give it a golden-brown colour. The sugar dusted over them added extra texture but did not make them too sweet. They were big enough to serve as a satisfying end to your meal or a snack.

The decor of the restaurant had a casual feel, and customers had the choice between indoor and outdoor seating. If you are looking for a good place for casual Italian food, consider dropping by Ino Paninoteca for a visit.
