Well, strangely enough, as it turns out, that's not all just talk as Innovation in French Architecture and Urban Planningis at the core of the French architecture and planning professions.
The Alliance Francaise de Brisbane is holding an exciting and special event as part of a cycle of conferences about innovation in France. The first of which will address Innovation in French Architecture and Urban Planning to be held at the Alliance Française de Brisbane, 262 Montague Road, West End on Friday 17 June, 2016 commencing at 6.30pm and running for one hour.

Throughout architectural history France has incorporated many original designs and inventions in unique, first-to-be-seen buildings and large scale innovative urban projects – think Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Pyramid and that's just in Paris. The conference will be in English and will give you the opportunity to discover the impacts of modern innovation through a special architectural and urban Tour de France.

Architecture expert, Karine Dupre will be discussing new projects and innovative architecture currently being undertaken in France. Associate Professor Karine Dupré is a French architect and planner who, prior to joining the Architecture program at Griffith University, taught and conducted research at the Strasbourg National Institute of Applied Sciences (France, 2006/2012) and the Urban Planning and Design Institute, Tampere University of Technology (Finland, 2000/2005).
Karine is an expert on cities and tourism, urban development, sustainability, building heritage and identity who teaches urban planning theories and architecture design. There is sure to be something new to learn during this conference whether you already have good knowledge of architecture and planning or have an interest in the fields.
