Food this good is worth a detour
If you find yourself at the southern end of the Fleurieu Peninsula, why not make a detour to the Inman Valley General Store and Country Kitchen for breakfast, lunch or coffee.
At the Country Kitchen, there is a focus on food. You can enjoy home-made pies, pasties, sausage rolls. But a real treat is the tasting platter. Enjoy the home-made relish, home-made salad dressing and home-made pâté – the details that make wonderful accompaniments to the ham, salmon and other delicacies. The salad tastes like it has been freshly harvested. Alcohol is available, and the wine list gives a sufficient range of choices to complement the meals.
You can sit inside the country dining room or there is a pleasant outdoor area if you want to enjoy your repast near canine companions. Parking is ample in the car park of the Memorial Hall opposite.
The Country Kitchen encompasses the best of "country" – fresh, natural food, friendly people, no pretension.
