I'd never had a macaron before and I was curious what they were. I can't compare them with other macarons, but I thought they were very tasty, though perhaps a bit on the expensive side for the size of them (two for $4 and they are about the size of a fifty cent coin).

There were about a dozen different flavours available and I chose chocolate and passionfruit. The chocolate was very rich and tasted like it had a high cocoa content. The passionfruit was a really lovely balance of sweetness and tartness.
