As the warmer weather starts to arrive in Perth, it's time for a change of wardrobe. And the Inglewood on Beaufort Street markets has come up with a perfect solution for families to share in some food action, while the ladies check out new season fashion.
From the Runway to your Wardrobe fashion show will be held on Monday, November 12 at the Ninth Ave hub on the corner of Beaufort St with two 20-minute fashion shows at 7.15pm and 8.15pm.
The fashions from home-based boutique business CoCo Kingdom are aimed at women from sizes six to 16.
Melanie Louise, co-owner of the fashion business says the focus will be on crisp whites, florals and shades of blue and denim. She says the season's fashion trends include dresses with shorter hems and longer sleeves and longer hems with strappy sleeves.
People attending the fashion show can also enter a competition to win a dress from CoCo Kingdom by liking the CoCo Kingdom Facebook page and the Inglewood Monday Night Markets page and checking in to "CoCo Kingdom at Inglewood Monday Night Markets" on the night.
People can also go on to Inglewood on Beaufort's Instagram page @inglewood_night_markets for a chance to win a $25 voucher to the markets.
The parade will showcase a range of styles and colours and will include everything from floaty feminine dresses with florals and summer colours to block colours.
Most of CoCo Kingdom's stock is made in Australia and clothes include cotton blends, synthetic blends and a mix of the two.
The one-off fashion show celebrates summer as part of the regular Monday evening markets. Models will include Ms Galaxy Australia winner Tammy Roberts with acoustic musicians Bec and Neil performing between runway sessions.
CoCo Kingdom is owned by sisters Melanie Louise and Telisha Robyn, who like to find the right style for every person and body type to engender confidence in women. CoCo Kingdom trades online but also has a showroom at Huntingdale which is open by appointment by phoning 0427 106 696.
More details are available on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/coco.kingdom and on the Inglewood on Beaufort's event Facebook page www.facebook.com/events/260811101300085
Up to 60 food vendors participate in the Inglewood on Beaufort St markets each Monday from 6pm to 9pm, except Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve until April 29.
A multitude of different styles of food from all over the world is available from food trucks and stalls which run both sides of Beaufort from 7th Avenue to 10th Avenue.
The Busker's Bar on 7th Avenue provides a spot for customers to take their food and sit at tables while musicians perform.
A Crafted Pop Up Bar serves beer and cider on tap and features local wines and espresso martinis on tap.
