Fabulous food, music and entertainment have been feeding and entertaining the crowds at the Inglewood Monday Night Markets for the last eight years.
The Inglewood on Beaufort Monday Night Markets are back for a new season
They make a welcome return for their ninth season, running every Monday from October 16 until the end of April next year except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Dozens of food trucks and stalls will line both sides of Beaufort Street from Eighth to Tenth Avenue serving food that ranges from curries and bao buns to mouth-watering desserts of crepes and ice cream.
Both sides of Ninth Avenue are closed off to create extra space and the market extends into the library carpark where the Red Fox Den provides a bar for visitors to buy drinks and find a table to enjoy a meal from the vendors.
The family-friendly Inglewood Monday Night Markets are back
Often families and groups of friends will gather at a table and head in different directions to choose their favourite food styles from around the world.
Vendors take food lovers through a world of flavour with street food from Greece, Thailand, Japan, India, Turkey, France, Holland, China, South America, Italy and more.
Adding to the entertainment vibe, buskers park themselves on street corners and on some Mondays special events provide even more entertainment, including the popular dog show and Christmas gift stalls in the lead-up to Christmas.
The Treat Truck will be on hand at the dog-friendly Monday Night Markets
Community group Inglewood on Beaufort, which runs the markets and is part of the Town Team Movement, has also teamed up this year with the Inglewood Arts Hub to run fun and creative workshops and activities for children and adults.
More than 30 eco-friendly food trucks will be at the markets each week offering a great range of vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free meal options for the whole family.
And there’s even something for the many dogs that meander along Beaufort St with their owners at the Woof Meow Tweet Squeak treat truck which returns with its homemade gourmet, healthy pet treats.
Crowds gather for the start of the dog show
Inglewood on Beaufort Acting Chair, Ben Kent, says it is wonderful to see the markets return, encouraging community spirit and bringing life and activity to the heart of Inglewood.
It is a great opportunity to show up to 2500-odd locals and visitors who come every Monday what a great suburb Inglewood is.
Funded and supported by the City of Stirling and with sponsorship from Red Fox Property a team of volunteers ensures the markets run smoothly every week.
The markets have a focus on sustainability with all vendors using eco-friendly packaging with 100 per cent sustainable and compostable packaging.
The markets run from 6pm to 9pm every Monday.
