"Might as well jump. Go ahead and jump". In the words of David Lee Roth this is exactly what I thought walking into Inflatable World at North Lakes.

The cavernous room is filled with an array of enticing inflatable structures. There are so many different areas that I think most kids would find something they enjoyed. For my boys it was the obstacle course and slide. This structure could be quite challenging for younger kids or adults as there are things to climb over and navigate around before the freedom of the slide. Don't worry though, adults are well catered for and encouraged to participate. Spectators are free allowing the best of both worlds.

Another favourite is the caged arena filled with hanging balls. It seems the object is to swing the giant balls at the person in the middle, however there is a variety of ways to play in the space. There is a large inflatable pillow perfect for seeing how high you can jump. For something different you can don a vest with velcro strips on the outside and jump onto a wall where you stick as high up as you can jump. There is also an area for younger kids with a small slide and foam blocks.

The whole space is nice and airy due to one side being opened up. When we were there a birthday party was in full swing with tables set up along the open side. There is quite a bit of other seating for parents allowing views onto the play area. One of the things I particularly liked was that there are staff in the play area to supervise and help with some of the structures like the sticky wall.

For birthday parties the website advises that they supply tables and chairs but the rest is up to you - food, cake, party bags and decorations. If you just want a jump you pay for a 2 hour session which is plenty long enough to try everything and expend lots of energy.

I didn't buy anything from the cafe however they do have a small selection of snacks and a variety of drinks including coffee- a must in my book at this type of venue. There was a water fountain available too, which is handy if you forget kids water bottles. The overall look was clean and well maintained. I imagine there is good opportunity to check for damage when the structures are regularly deflated to make way for indoor soccer and netball.

This is a great venue for a rainy day or to meet for a playdate.
