School holidays are just around the corner and here's another 'little' gem I've found that will surely burn off all that excess energy the children seem to have an abundance of. Not that I'm jealous or anything - just thought it might be worth a mention!
Inflatable World is a massive indoor playground in Maroochydore, tucked away rather nicely in an Industrial area in Kayleigh Drive and promising a great fun outing for the whole family. True to its word, this is what I found when I visited - kids and their parents having a whole lot of bouncing, climbing, balancing and sticking to inflatable walls fun! I quite fancied the 'sticking to the wall' bit, instead of a 'naughty corner', makes a whole lot more sense and I'm sure a whole lot more fun! The children are rigged out in some sort of astronaut-looking outfit, which attaches to the bouncy wall - the parents toss the kids and they stick, literally, to the wall! What fun! I'm not sure who has more fun - the parent or the child.

Outside of school holidays, unfortunately, Inflatable World are only open on a Saturday from 9.00am to 4.00pm, and on Fridays from 3.30pm to 6.00pm for private bookings i.e. birthday parties or corporate team-building events. The good news is that Inflatable World is open EVERY day of the school holidays from Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 3.00pm and closed on Sundays.
No need to pre-book for your two hour play period - just turn up and play - time starts when entering the play area. Children can play on the inflatable activities as much as they like during the two-hour session with supervisors on hand to ensure everyone's safety. Inflatable World promise that two hours is all the bouncy fun a child can manage, as they're usually totally exhausted at the end of their play time. Yeah, right!

Inflatable World is available for functions of all descriptions:
End of Year Functions
Sports Team Get-togethers
There's a whole section dedicated to the under five's, which older children are not permitted to use. In saying this, the under five's are welcome to use any 'other' section, accompanied by a parent, at Inflatable World.
0 - 4 years of age - to be supervised by a parent in the under 5's area - a parent to accompany the child in all other areas;
5 - 8 years of age - to be kept in continuous view;
9 - 12 years of age - check on their whereabouts regularly;
13 - 16 years of age - ensure this age group are playing safely with the younger children
Children are prone to getting really sweaty (one has to remember this is a high energy maximum activity zone) while getting rid of their excess energy, so loose clothing is advisable. And most importantly, remember to bring your socks! No Socks = No Play!

A great indoor playground to bookmark for the school holidays - you'll have them in bed as the sun sets, with all the energy they've expended with a two-hour jumping and bouncing session at Inflatable World - definitely fun for the whole family!
