Officially an award-winning restaurant, the Indya Bistro is a highly acclaimed restaurant situated in North Carlton. Its modest 1800s style building is quite inconsistent with the glory that the place has received in recent times.

The menu offers many classically delicious Indian dishes. The Indya Bistro prides itself on the "presentation means everything" principle, which is why its butter chicken, apricot lamb, saffron, Mumbai fries and Goan fish curry look too good to disturb with utensils. But don't let passing illusions get in the way of your indulgence, especially when the Exotic Carrot Illusion is there to replace all preceding illusions for dessert.

The Indya Bistro is a fully licensed restaurant that encourages bookings in advance for groups. No need to be concerned about parking, for there are plenty of spots between the two sides of the Rathdowne Street road. You can expect to encounter a lot more traffic during the peak afternoon hour. EFTPOS, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
