Indulgence Cafe is a fantastic eatery sitting in the food emporium of Stockland the Pines in Doncaster East.
The food is reasonably priced and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner of Thursday and Friday evenings.
The menu is varied with omelets, eggs all ways, pancakes, burgers, Middle Eastern and Indian influences such as curries, cakes, make your own sandwiches, roasts and a variety of coffees, juices and teas.
Together with three friends, I dined at midday on a Sunday for brunch. I ordered two poached eggs, grilled mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes, and gluten free toast. The eggs were done beautifully, as were my sides. The only change I would make is to offer diners butter on the side rather than pre-buttering toast before the plate arrives at the table.
Two of my guests had scrambled eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes and also added one pancake with syrup (which is offered as an addition to any breakfast menu item). Both were thrilled with their meals. The pancake in particular was delightfully fluffy and sprinkled with a light dusting of icing sugar.
The last dish ordered was eggs benedict with bacon. The diner described this as tasty and well proportioned - with the only comment being that one egg was slightly overdone rather than runny.
We ordered coffees which were all done perfectly, but unfortunately my chai came already sweetened with honey (which is something I personally don't like).
All in all - I would absolutely return to this venue. The service is wonderful and extremely helpful - while food is tasty with great sized portions and reasonable prices.
