Winter chills and rainy weekends are the major deterrents for most people to exercise. However, there is always a way out taking up indoor sports are great active alternatives to get you the right level of fitness. Here are some great indoor sports for exploration and fun, which are suitable for both children and adults.

Northern Suburbs Basketball Association Inc. (NSBA) leases North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre. You can play basketball on casual basis (per person) or rent the half court or full court together with your friends or your team mates. If basketball is not your favourite sport, you can consider playing volleyball, indoor soccer, badminton and netball in the centre. There is no shortage of choices to exercise your body.

Saturday and Sunday 9am 5.30pm* (*availability dependent upon Miniball and NSBA Representative Competitive Schedule)

If you want to get a taste of rock climbing but are worried about safety, here is an alternative for your consideration. Located in St Leonards, Climb-fit is Sydney's largest indoor climbing and gymnasium facility the centre has over 160 climbs with the majority of their vertical climbs being 8.5 metres high, and over 200 set climbing routes. It is suitable for beginners and advanced climbers. Additionally, kids aged 4 years old onwards can also experience indoor rock climbing and they can even attend a School Holiday Camp to take up training routines.

Public Holidays 9am - 9pm
