This June 5th is the 12th anniversary of World Environment day. The United Nations started the day to ensure that both local and global communities were aware of environmental issues and provoke political action where necessary.

Redland Indigiscapes Centre is an environmental education centre that boasts beautiful botanic gardens featuring only local plant species. There are bushtucker tours, nature trails, cafe, plant nursery, flying fox and a maze. So many options to keep you entertained, amused and educated on any weekend of the year.

On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June Indigiscapes is celebrating World Environment Day by holding their annual 'Indigi Day Out'. The event will be lively offering entertainment for both adults and children alike.
Adults can partake in the delicious food stalls and embrace the collaboration with the Redlands Folk Music Festival and listen to the free live music on offer. You can also learn with the plant displays and workshops, walks and talks. Kids can be whisked away for face painting, games and trackless train rides. They too can learn with the interactive craft activities, animal displays and nature tours.
The best news is that all the entertainment and displays are free! The event runs from 10am to 4pm daily. Onsite parking is available too. Redlands Indigiscapes Centre is at 17 Runnymede Road, Capalaba.
