At Bondi Beach, there are many wonderful murals created by various artists. These murals are special as they create a sense of community within Bondi, and are also very fascinating to examine on a casual walk at the beach.
"Sing Up" with the Locals This Saturday 5th November, there will be local musicians, acapella singers and storytellers celebrating and sharing the love for of the Indigenous mural.
The mural on Wayside Chapel exhibits five very important activists of the Indigenous community as part of a Reconciliation project. The people presented on the mural are Vincent Lingiari, Mum (Shirl) Smith, Eddie Mabo, Faith Bandler, and Charles Perkins. Each of these people have made significant contributions to the Indigenous community, by fighting for free rights and all-round equality.

Plans for Renovations Unfortunately, the Wayside Chapel building has plans for a $630,00 renovation, which will remove the mural from its place, if the plans are accepted by Waverley Council.
