Indian Temptations is located in the suburb of Blair Athol, situated amongst an array of small restaurants on Main North Road. Indian Temptations is benefited by the extended late hours the establishment remains open, though only stated to be open till "late" this time period has been known to stray toward the early hours of the morning.

Being situated on the busy Main North Road is certainly an upside, but due to the small size of the restaurant itself there is a chance many people may miss out on enjoying the experience Indian Temptations has to offer; which would be a grand mistake.

Customers are also offered parking at the rear of the establishment, alongside a small number of car parks on Main North Road itself. Due to the small location there are only half a dozen inside tables for patrons to dine inside, while there are tables outside, the small amount of room inside the shop and less than accommodating dining spaces are definitely a problem during their busy hours.

Indian Temptations gives customers the chance to write their own orders, which surprisingly helps decrease wait times for placing your meal. Instead of waiting for a staff member to take your order, your table is able to figure it out and bring it to the counter whenever you're ready; which was a unique method that is extremely effective.

Customers also have the ability to order over the phone, online or in person to either eat-in or take away. Alongside the ease of getting your food ordered, Indian Temptations also allows their patrons the ability to take their leftovers home. Though this is something most establishments allows these days, Indian Temptations goes that extra mile by bagging your leftovers for you. The friendly staff made sure to double check if we wanted our take away mixed or separate, while also conversing in a friendly conversation regarding our experience; which was a refreshing and genuine moment from our evening.

Indian Temptations offered up our order amazingly fast. Our two main dishes, alongside two mango yoghurt milkshakes and two servings of garlic naan were all delivered to our table in under ten minutes; during a somewhat busy period at the restaurant. There is nothing better than being delivered fast food while at an establishment, but not only was it quickly created, it was absolutely delicious.

Firstly we were greeted by the Mango Lassi, which is a yoghurt based mango flavoured milkshake. The beverage had a smooth, creamy texture that will delight fans of yoghurt based products and offers a nice palette cleanser alongside the Indian cuisine on offer. Our main course consisted of butter chicken, marinated chicken cooked in tandoori spices, and beef spinach, tender beef pieces with spinach; which was accompanied by a large serving of garlic naan.

The spinach and beef delivered a fresh and flavoursome spinach taste, that accompanied the tender beef pieces well. The dish is also available in mild, medium and hot, having selected mild the spice added a peppery kick that added to the overall taste of the dish. The beef pieces themselves were succulent and worked well with the spinach additions. The butter chicken dish was also impressive, once again providing some succulent chicken pieces, with one of the most deliciously creamy sauce accompaniments. These dishes were at a very decent size, where our company of two struggled to get through even half the food on offer.

Impressively our overall meal cost over $40 and was easily enough food to serve a party of 4 or 5 individuals. The factor of price is always an important factor when venturing out for restaurant meals and Indian Temptations offers a high quality product that does little impact on the wallet. For example, the garlic naan portions were incredibly generous and were merely $2.50 each. Compared to naan prices at other Indian establishments I have attended, the amount on offer for this price is truly spectacular.

The main problem I had with Indian Temptations was their apparent lack of care for visual cleanliness. No there was nothing unsanitary here, but there were many aspects that made me question our decision to visit this location. This was mainly due to the dirty floors, stacks of dirty pans positioned right behind the counter in full view of the patrons, and the un-straightened portraits on the wall. It definitely felt like Indian Temptation lacked the care and love they put into their food, when it came to presenting a visually satisfactory environment for the consumer.

Although Indian Temptations may have a visual sour taste, it is hard to deny the cuisine on offer is delicious. With the added bonus of being extremely affordable and your meal being available to take home afterwards. Indian Temptations is an establishment that will satisfy any individual looking to satisfy an itch for Indian dining.
