Authentic Indian food crafted by Indoan brothers
Once we stepped inside this restaurant, which is dominated by the colour red, our noses were instantly tantalised by the aromatic smells. The furniture inside the restaurant is fairly basic, but the warmth of our waitress' smile that night lifted up the ambience.

Browsing through their menu, I could see some vegan-friendly options, as well as options for a nut-free diet. All their meats are halal certified. They also have some traditional Indian drinks and sweets, such as gulab jamun (deep-fried doughnut balls), kheer (rice pudding) and salty lassi (natural unsweetened yogurt, cumin seeds and black salt).

We chose a platter of papadum for entrée and they were disappearing in our tummies quite quickly. While waiting for our main order to arrive, we could see some interesting big paintings on the walls.

At last, our order arrived. The butter chicken was served in a traditional aluminium bowl. It's packed with flavour and the sauce was simply fantastic. It is paired with yellow rice that is fragrant. Our Chicken Tikka was served with beautiful mint dip.

Check their Facebook page for any specials for the day. Definitely, we will visit them again on our next visit to Cairns.
