Celebrate Indian Independence Day with cultural performances, an art exhibition, sporting tournaments and more at a family-friendly India Day event on Saturday 17 August 2019 from 10am to 7pm at John Henry Primary School, 141 Henry Road, Pakenham.

IACC and its members hope to bring communities together through recreational activities and art, while promoting India's heritage and its cultural diversity.


If you're participating and entering any of the competitions or attending the workshop, this is THE PAGE you want to head to for REGISTRATION..

Art Show - single entry $5 - Entries to be submitted on or before Friday 2 Aug 2019
Carrom Doubles Team - $25
Badminton Mens/Mixed Doubles - $30
Chess Single Entry - $20
BrickMasters Team - $20
Ganesha Modelling Workshop - single entry $15


Entries for the Art Show must be submitted by Friday 2 Aug 2019. Drop off point for your artwork is at the Living & Learning INC., 6B Henry St, Pakenham - on every Friday between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

For children under the age of 6 entering the colouring in art competition, parents are encouraged to download the colouring template and submit the finished work to the IACC staff before 8pm on Friday 9 August 2019. For any other queries regarding performing in the Cultural Show, about the Art Show, or the Sporting Events, head to the same page. Same goes for business owners who are keen to sponsor the event or prizes.


The program on the day of the event is as follows. Winners stand to gain $100 plus worth of prizes. Prizes include annual Gumbuya World family pass, $1000 worth of sketchers shoes vouchers, 4 Google mini, $200 worth of gift vouchers, medals and certificates.
Registration closes 10th Aug.

10.30am - Chess Tournament
10.30am - Carrom Tournament
12.30pm - Badminton Tournament
2-3.30pm - Brick Masters (Lego Competition)
3.30-5pm - Ganesha Clay Modeling Workshop
5-7pm - Cultural Performances
All Day - Art Exhibition
