Simon is not at all interested in following his mother's wishes but Jeanne feels compelled to travel to the Middle East to discover what life was like during a civil war. Between flashbacks and her own experiences, she unravels this mystery and like a piece of cloth, she keeps tugging at the strings until the mystery begins to reveal itself.

Part-drama, par-detective, story this movie will keep you wondering until the very end, when all the puzzles pieces finally fall into place. When they do, the picture it reveals will shock you even after you leave the theatre!

Incendies is part of the Denis Villeneuve Retrospective, which is showing the best of the movies directed by Denis Villeneuve at Dendy from 18 to 30 November in the lead up to the release of his newest film - DUNE on December 2.
