Freelance writer from Brisbane exploring the city and surrounds to find the best coffee

Old world luxury is a nice excursion for many of us but can be hard to find these days, particularly if you'd like to try a more formal style of dining that doesn't cost the earth. An excellent alternative is Inbound Brasserie and Cafe, at the Old Railway station in Toowoomba.
I visited before this Covid-19 pandemic shut everything down, but wanted to review this memorable restaurant for future reference.
While it doesn't look like much on the outside, a freight-only railway station, one step inside and it's a totally different world, with antique furnishings, beautiful art and classical feel.
The service is impeccable, prompt and makes you feel taken care of. The food was also delicious, with a simple menu, but a full wine list, so it was a great place for a long, relaxed lunch. I couldn't recommend this experience more.
Open for lunch and afternoon tea, available for event hire, Inbound is a great choice for a birthday soiree or high tea. When this Covid-19 saga is over, local businesses will need support to get going again, and Inbound Brasserie and Cafe is a beautiful place to start.
