Inamojo is a new wellbeing program for children of primary school age. Designed to address all aspects of a child's healthy developmental growth (physical, cognitive, emotional and social), the interactive program is composed of stories, movement, art, meditation, and specially composed music.

Created by the team behind the world-renowned Chakradance™ for adults, Inamojo is based on the eastern integrative 'map' of the chakra system, together with Jungian psychology and a variety of contemporary Early Childhood Development theories.

As part of the program, children will engage in mindful practices such as meditation, breath awareness, expressive movement and art and develop their trusting instincts, emotional expression, self-esteem, communication, intuition and imagination, and self-awareness.

Each week will follow the same format (story > dance > art > discussion) and covers a different theme and learning experience:

  • Introductory Class: introducing the characters and storyline.

  • Red class: learning to trust instincts.

  • Orange class: learning to cope with, and express, emotions.

  • Yellow class: explores self-esteem, confidence, courage.

  • Green class: addresses jealousy, compassion, love.

  • Blue class: effective communication, assertiveness.

  • Indigo class: imagination, dreams, and goals.

  • Violet class: self-awareness, thinking, meta-cognition.

  • Integration class: revisits key elements of the program.

Enrolment is now open for Term 2 and children aged between 5 to 8 are welcome to participate. Classes will take place at Clarence Park Community Centre on Sundays, from May 7th to July 2nd 2017.
