Brisbane City Council's 2019 BrisAsia Festival is extending its tentacles right across the suburbs of Brisbane.
Inala, 18 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD, according to the 2016 Census, has the largest Vietnamese Australian Community ( 30 per cent), of any suburb in Queensland. This would account for the truly amazing Asian foods available in the area.
On Sunday, 10th of February, from 11am till 4pm, join the Inala Food Trail, a food discovery experience, showcasing the ingredients and menus of Inala.
This is a FREE event, though for a small fee of between $2 to $5, you will be able to sample a selection of cuisines. There will also be cooking demonstrations and information about the ingredients available from the Asian food markets.
My daughters gifted me with a voucher to a Chinese cooking class some years ago. It was the walk through an Asian food market which won me over and I have been a regular visitor ever since, having a better understanding of the goods available.
