Satisfy the craving for Thai
Deciding on a place to eat dinner has been a perennial challenge for my friends and I, especially when displaced from the usual food hotspot of the Sydney CBD. The two recommendable and notable establishments in Parramatta (Paper Plane Cafe and Circa) were both closed by 4pm on Saturday afternoon.

We were out of ideas and so we enlisted the help of the internet to find us a well-rated restaurant in our area.

Spacious restaurant interior

In the Mood for Thai fit us perfectly, as it was open at the early dinner time of 5pm. The interior was well-lit and the ambiance was very inviting with popular tracks playing unobtrusively in the background.

We were greeted well by the staff and were given a choice as to our seats as they were empty at the time.

The interior decor was very lovely with comfortable seats and delicate candles. We were quickly given our menus and our colourful cups of table water. There was a great variety of Thai dishes from the Chef's recommendations to the usual Thai favourites such as Pad Thai.

There was also an option to custom make your noodles. You could choose your own noodles (for example, Hokkien noodles or Flat rice noodles) and also your own sauce.

Pad Thai
Chicken Pad Thai ($16.9)

I chose the classic chicken Pad Thai ($16.90). It was very delicious with a lovely sweet tinge. The crushed peanuts were sprinkled evenly across my dish. The chicken was smooth and generously provided.

Pad See Ew
Chicken Pad See Ew ($16.90)

My friend chose another Thai classic dish, the Pad See Ew. Similarly, it was a very generous serving accompanied by fresh snow peas, carrots and capsicums.

Custom made noodles

Another friend opted for the custom-made noodles: Chicken, Hokkien noodles and Oyster sauce.

Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience with generous servings of authentic and flavoursome Thai food.
