The air in Singapore on 23 March 2015 was filled with a great loss due to the passing of Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore. Thousands formed a line in the Padang, paying homage to enter the Parliament House during Lying in State, and many lined up the streets under heavy rain waiting for the State Funeral Procession to come. Now it is almost a year since this great man passed away. Here are some memorial events to held in the coming days:

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy will chair "The Enduring Ideas of Lee Kuan Yew" with Prof Mahbubani and some foreign dignitaries and intellectuals.

"Our Guiding Light" A Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew will be held on 23, 26 & 27 March, 6pm-10pm in the Event Square. A massive light art installation titled 'Follow That Rainbow,' presented by Nanyang Polytechnic Students' Union, will be on display on 23 March 2016. A commemorative craft in the shape of tulips will be available for sale on 26 and 27 March 2016.

There are three remembrance sites: the Parliament House, Istana Park and Duxton Plain Park with panels depicting significant contributions of Mr. Lee.

There will be a memorial service held in the Arts House.

The public can also post tributes on the Lee Kuan Yew website.
