If you're looking for something different and funny late night after a previous comedy show then look no further than At The Movies .
Now you ask, is it a sendup of the Movie Show or is it a quiz? I wasn't sure as I explained to my partner before we attended. Well, I can now say it's none of those things but even better it's a cross between What's My Line? and a late night movie showing of the best of the worst of schlocky sci-fi.
But you don't have to watch the said movie for long. See, the premise is the audience decides between 2 film synopses (real films, mind you) which one we're going to watch for 5 minutes. Then the gang takes over the rest with the best and worst - which really makes the best humour. And we, the audience, contribute to part of the fun.
The cast is an amazing array of veteran improvs from way back. A name and face many may recognise is Russell Fletcher, who did 3 roles in Saturday's show! How did he do it!
But the rest of the cast of Liam Amor, Jenny Lovell, John Voce, and Brenna Dixon and directed and hosted by the wonderful Sarah Kinsella are as impressively bad - I mean great!
And we can't forget to congratulate the foley artist of Jessica Pratt on sound effects and music by Gordon Dorin. We were all transported to be space probed on Taurus with crabs for this performance but who knows where the new audience will take themselves and the cast next time? You'll only know if you go!
