IMAGINATE 2022 is a two week interactive art exhibition and festival designed for children of all ages to discover, play and create their very own experience through art.

The immersive children's art festival, IMAGINATE will this year be produced by ethical art makers, Slow Art Collective, who's aim is to focus on creative practices and ethics relating to environmental sustainability, material ethics, DIY culture and collaboration.

Promoting imaginative discovery and play, the Noosa Regional Gallery will be transformed into a fully immersive, sensory space with wall-to-wall mazes of interactive and engaging experiences and a program of exciting family fun activities.

IMAGINATE 2022 will feature a variety of art making workshops with local artists such as illustrator, Kerry Ide; painter Odessa Mahony-de Vries and interstate author and artist, Tai Snaith.

Design your Monster! with illustrator Kerry Ide is on Wednesday 29 June


In celebration of NAIDOC week, indigenous workshops with members of the Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe and TribalLink will also feature along with free family events, including dance performances and family ArtPlay sessions, culminating into an enchanting celebration of childhood creativity and imagination.

What Art Exhibits do the kids have to look forward to -

Archi-Loom a large-scale woven installation on bamboo scaffolding, made from mixed materials including recycled wool. Children get to add their part by weaving colourful patterns. A space that invites areas for play, rest, craft and discovery.

Bow river where archery meets sonic architecture - a shooting gallery that aims to explode the drumkit!

UV tennis ball run a glow-in-the-dark reimagining of the traditional marble run, with the balls running along the gallery walls!

Visions Wall write and draw on the gallery walls and share your ideas and hopes for the future.

The FREE Exhibition Entry IMAGINATE 2022 program will be held every day during Noosa Regional Gallery's opening hours. No bookings are required. Sensory Art Lab is best suited to children aged two to twelve. All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Exhibits run from Saturday 25 June to Sunday 10 July.

Bookmark the school holidays with the IMAGINATE 2022 festival dates, the children will absolutely love discovering, playing and creating their very own experience through art.
