Situated just next to the University of Melbourne, Image Superstore
is the destination of the new generation for all image needs. It incorporates a wide range of services, namely photography, videography, designing, studio hire, make up and styling, high tea and more.

I was invited by a friend to experience an interesting Vintage Glamour High Tea and Photography session at Image Superstore. Since it was a promotional deal, we had only received the high tea and photography services. However at the usual full price, you can expect the full package consisting make-up, hair styling, elaborated high tea, and of course the beautiful vintage photo shoot. In addition, the studio keeps supplies of cosmetics by Napoleon Perdis for make up applied during photoshoots, bridal and special occasions.

We arrived to a cafe as we first stepped into the store. The spacious area has a modern interior design infused with vintage glam. The glass coffee tables contrasted against the solid wooden desks with crochet table clothes, and the antique-inspired lamps differentiated from the lights fixed in camera lenses that hanged from the ceiling. Nonetheless, they all surprisingly blended well together. Again, the cafe serves a usual selection of coffees, cakes and patisseries, accompanied by some relaxing and soothing jazz in the background. In fact, the vintage photo shoot setting was placed right in the middle of the cafe, and enhanced the environment of the room.

Walking further into the store, we entered the studio area where gorgeous Napoleon Perdis make up emporium was stationed on one side. There were set ups of computers and equipments, which the crew of professional photographers was working on projects. Apart from that, a few more different themes were present and supposed to be ready for shooting at anytime, such as the warm, cosy dining room and the cool living room with elegant matching floor lamps.

We had an enjoyable time at the photo shoot. The photographer carefully demonstrated his skills and knowledge, and was rather helpful and friendly. The overall experience was fun and casual yet very unique to us. On the other hand, the quality of the food served for high tea had exceeded my expectations. I was impressed by the beautiful coffee art displayed in our drinks as well as the mini meat pies and macaroons on the plates. Most of all, I very much enjoyed the chilled ambience at the cafe.

A number of camera novelty items could be found at Image Superstore, including camera lens mugs and camera lens down lights, which is a unique equipment of their very own. Treating your friends and families to a professional photo session is perhaps a fresh and great idea to spice up this holiday season of Christmas.
