Wollondilly's premier arts and cultural event,
illuminARTe is returning in 2017, illuminating the historic town of Picton with building projections and showcasing the region's art and music scenes.
The theme of this year's festival -
Animate, Activate, Generate - will set the tone as Picton comes alive with colour, light and excitement, creating a spectacular cultural event for the community and visitors.
Local artworks will be projected on to some of the town's landmark buildings to create a VIVID-style festival of illuminated art and light displays. Make sure you check out the following buildings on the night:
Old Picton Post Office
Old NAB Building
John Digger Furniture Store
Wollondilly Shire Council
St Anthony's Church
Picton Town Square Building
the Evergreen Tree
To add further colour to the festivities other buildings throughout town will be bathed in coloured lights.
The
illuminARTe Art Exhibition will be held at Wollondilly Shire Hall in Menangle Street Picton. Curated by Wollondilly Arts Group, the exhibition showcases the artistic diversity of the works created by regional & local artists, artisans and crafts people. Visitors are welcome to get involved by having a vote in the Peoples Choice Award. The Art Exhibition will be open from Friday 28th April until Sunday 30th April. For viewing times please
