I'm a blogger living in Wollongong, NSW Australia. I enjoy travelling and exploring my hometown. Visit my blog at https://www.apalscorner.wordpress.com/
The Basketball season is upon us. Wollongong hosts the oldest NBL team, the Illawarra Hawks. They are also the only team Wollongong has (and doesn't have to share) in a national sports league. So why not support them?
Their family friendly home games are held in the Win Entertainment Centre, which we hardly ever fill. With a range of activities and entertainment before and during the game for the kiddies and with the cheap tickets there is no reason not to come at least once a season.
The game is not a rough sport but when it gets heated the crowd goes wild (usually at the referees). The louder you cheer the better the Hawks will play.
Last season was there best season in years with making it to the semi-finals they should be even better this year.
The season runs for 19 rounds with 14 home games. Tickets are usually from $20 up. And the cheap ones are the best because you are higher up in the stadium and you can see everything that is happening.
